Please submit answers to these questions
either as a hard copy (typeset or handwritten are OK) or by email to
jteresco AT siena.edu by the start of class. Please use a clear subject line
when submitting by email (e.g., CS 180 Lecture
Assignment 22, Joe Student). We will discuss these
questions at the start of class, so no late submissions are
accepted.
- Look in the list of stored cookies in a browser you use
frequently. Can you recognize any information being stored? (3 points)
- Read the article How Internet Cookies
Work from
HowStuffWorks, focusing on the pages on "Problems with Cookies"
and "Cookies on the Internet: Privacy Issues". Write a paragraph
summarizing your concerns about the problems and issues mentioned in
the article as they relate to your own use of web browsers, or
explaining why you do not see a need for concern. (7 points)
