Course News
- Thank you for an excellent semester.
- Login information for your hostmonster accounts:
- Connect to ftp.sienasellbacks.com
- Your userid is your Siena userid followed by @sienasellbacks.com
- Your password is the one you were given in Lab 1
- Make sure you choose the FTP protocol rather than SFTP
- Make sure you are using Passive FTP
- In RB 330, you can only connect to hostmonster using Dreamweaver.
- In RB 350 and on your own computers, you can connect with
any ftp client (such as WinSCP on Windows or FileZilla on almost
any platform).
- Formatting requirements for XHTML and CSS document submissions:
- Each document submitted should include a comment listing all
authors and the assignment/lab for which it is being submitted.
- Follow standards rather than take shortcuts, even when
browsers will "do the right thing" even for the shortcut.
Starting with Lab 4, all documents must conform to the XHTML
1.0 Strict DTD and pass the official W3C Markup Validation
Service at
http://validator.w3.org without warnings or errors.
- Make your documents readable in source form, not just in
rendered form. This includes avoiding long lines in your
documents when possible, using some white space to separate
sections, and commenting items that may not be obvious.
