Spring 2016, The College of Saint Rose
Lecture 3: Basic Modeling
Date: Wednesday, January 27, 2016
Agenda
Lecture 3 Assignment
Due at the start of class, Monday, February 1.
There is nothing to submit for this, but take some time before our
next meeting to start setting up to be able to run Ambrosia outside of
class time. Once you need to start doing programming outside of class
time, you don't want to be spending your time on this setup - you'll
need that time to develop your programs.
- If you have your own Mac and wish to use it, see me to get the
software installed and make sure you can generate an image from an
Ambrosia model.
- If you have Windows, and would like to connect to our remote
login server, there are two steps to start working on:
- See me to get your account on the remote login server set
up.
- Install the following tools on your Windows computer using
the instructions provided for each:
- Xming
- WinSCP and
PuTTY (download
and install the WinSCP 5.7.6 Installation package, and the PuTTY
Installation package)
- If you plan to work only on Macs in the College's public labs,
verify that you can generate an image from an Ambrosia model using a
Mac you might use elsewhere on campus.
