The movies, the images used to construct the movies (and a whole lot of junk you won't care about) are saved to the folder /tmp on the Macs. If you wish to save your movie and/or some of the frames used to generate it, you can follow this procedure:
Open the Terminal application. In the terminal window, type
cd /tmp
followed by
open .
This will open a Finder window showing all of the contents of /tmp, including your movies. Drag anything you wish to save from here to your desktop, to your home folder, or wherever you'd like to store it.
