Please submit answers to these questions in Blackboard by the start of class. We will discuss these questions at the start of class, so no late submissions are accepted. I would like to know more about your background (both individually and as a group) as it relates to the content of the course. To that end, please answer the following questions.

  1. What kind of computer are you most familiar with? (e.g., Mac, PC running Windows, PC running Linux, etc.)
  2. How comfortable are you using an office suite? (e.g., Microsoft Office, Openoffice.org, etc.)
  3. Have you published any of your own information online? If so, what have you published and how? (e.g., photo sharing, blogs, Facebook, etc.)
  4. Read Chapter 1 of EMP. Give a one-sentence description for each word in the "Word Bank" at the top of page 29.
