Course News
- Thank you for an enjoyable semester!
- Instructions for posting web pages on the School of Science web server:
- Edit your HTML file in Notepad. Be sure to save as
a .html file and not a .txt file and save to the Z:
drive.
- Transfer your file to ares.cs.siena.edu using WinSCP.
Log in using your SoS userid and password. Make sure you choose
the public_html directory on ares before copying your
HTML file(s).
- If your username is jj35cool, your pages will have the URL
http://www.cs.siena.edu/~jj35cool
followed by whatever filename you choose. The above will
load index.html, if that file exists in your public_html
directory on ares.
- Here is a list of links to your and your classmates' web pages:
- Computer Science department tutors are here to help!
- Tutors are to help you figure out how to solve a problem (but
they will not solve your problems for you).
- Tutors are in Roger Bacon 350 Sunday through Thursday
evenings.
- Two of the CS tutors are 010 "specialists": Ryan Ziegler and
Caitlin Sanchez. Caitlin is available Mondays 6-9 and Thursdays
6-10, and Ryan is available Tuesdays 7-9 and Wednesdays 6-9.
- If the tutors are helping other students, please be patient.
- Photos of the tutors will be posted on the bulletin board in
the lab to help you to identify them.
- You must sign the tutoring log for every question that you
need help on. The number of entries help justify the tutoring
budget, so if you value this service, please be sure to credit the
tutors!
