Due at the start of class, Tuesday, September 26.

Summarize in a few paragraphs the key points about the Linux 2.6 scheduler as described in the Krohn article (linked from the lecture 4 page) and FreeBSD ULE scheduler as described in the the McKusick and Neville-Neil article (linked below). This lecture assignment is more work that previous ones and will be graded for 5 points as opposed to the 2 points each for previous lecture assignments.

The readings for next time are the remainder of SG&G Chapter 5 and McKusick and Neville-Neil, ACM Queue, 2004.
