Agenda

Lecture Assignment

Due at the start of class, Monday, February 4.

You do not need to turn in answers to these questions, but you will have a chance to ask questions about them at the start of class Monday. Note that the textbook's web page has possible answers to many of the exercises at the end of the chapters.

SG&G 1.10, 1.12, 2.2, 2.9

Turn in short answers to these questions. Please turn in a hard copy (typeset or handwritten are OK). We will discuss these questions at the start of class on Monday, so no late submissions are accepted.

SG&G 1.13, 2.14

The readings for Monday are SG&G Chapter 3. Concentrate your attention on Sections 3.1-3.3. Pay closer attention to the UNIX system calls than the Windows ones.
